Linotype Introduces DIN Next
For years, the DIN typeface (FontShop International, Germany) has been very popular with graphic designers. Linotype has announced the release of its new typeface DIN Next.
Since 1980, Linotype has provided 2 DIN 1451 fonts: DIN 1451 Engschrift and DIN 1451 Mittelschrift (meaning “condensed” and “regular” in German). These fonts have sharp corners like the original FontShop DIN, but the new DIN Next typeface has slightly rounded corners.
DIN Next is available in 7 weights (Ultra Light to Black) with each weight in Regular, Italic, and Condensed, bringing the Linotype DIN family up to 25 fonts.
